A Letter from Marina, the Founder of Ethereal Trail
My journey into organizing retreats and travel experiences started in 2018. As time went by, I realized that a well-crafted journey is more than just logistics, sightseeing and a bunch of historical facts — it’s about creating unforgettable moments of connection and of inspiration. With this vision in mind, and with the background in curating meaningful travel experiences, I founded Ethereal Trail.
My goal is to bring travelers and local talent together to share their vision of life while exploring most beautiful destinations worldwide.
I hold dual degrees in Tourism & Event Management and in Economics, which provide me with both the creativity to craft fascinating itineraries and the logistic insight to ensure their seamless execution.
As a member of the Portuguese Sommelier Association and a wine jury panelist, I bring a deep appreciation and knowledge
of the world of wine, which is an essential element in many of the Ethereal Trail retreats.
With years of experience in planning and executing bespoke travel, I have worked with some of the most passionate
and talented professionals in their fields. From exclusive wine tastings at family-run vineyards, to art retreats in beautiful old homes and mansions, I strive to bring together logistics, creativity, and a deep understanding of what makes a journey truly special.
In my view, travel is more than a change of scenery — it’s a journey of the senses, mind, and soul. I see each retreat as a carefully woven story, where every element — location, food, art, and people — plays a role in shaping an unforgettable experience. My passion is to bring these elements together, ensuring that every trip has a lasting and perhaps a transformative effect.
